The Pemtron PS series Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) systems
Pemtron Compact SEM: small footprint, full size capability, excellent value: The PS series Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) system offers a new alternative to users who need more than a tabletop SEM, but do not have the space or budget for a full size tungsten SEM.
Pemtron SEM specifications will surprise you! The PS-230 and PS-250 are analytical SEMs, with the magnification and resolution range of a full size tungsten SEM, in a small footprint. The SEMs are fully motorized, easy to use and accommodate a range of sample sizes. The systems have a number of features and capabilities that make them versatile and easy to use. (see chart)
Compact SEMs offer you the flexibility to experiment! Many users need multiple types of detectors for imaging, elemental analysis and other experiments. The PS-230 and PS-250 have chambers with multiple port configurations so users have the freedom to use these ports for Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy (EDS) and Wavelength Dispersive Spectroscopy (WDS). Additionally, these ports can be used to incorporate nano-manipulators, nano-probers and nano-indenters for in-situ experiments with your SEM.

Topcon Aquila Compact SEM
Integrated Optical Microscope; The tabletop SEM was once the bridge between the world of optical microscopy and scanning electron microscopy; that has all changed. The Aquila’s optical microscope provides ease-of-use and true functionality. The macro to micro view is used for navigation in real time, just click on the map and jump to your target. The system provides color optical and SEM images, giving the user more ability to distinguish what they are viewing.
Plug it in and go! This compact SEM is an all-in-one system; it’s fast, easy to use, sits right next to your desk and all you have to do is plug it into a standard electrical outlet.

Microanalysis; This advanced compact SEM can be equipped with Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy (EDS), thanks to the systems acceleration voltage range of up to 20kV. The system uses a state of the art EDS detector from EDAX. This allows you to do real microanalysis with a small footprint SEM.
Applications; The Aquila SEM is ideal for many fields:
The system bridges the gaps between optical microscopy, electron microscopy and microanalysis, and brings them all into one compact system.
