The Hydra probe series is the latest product development from Appnano. The Hydra probe series are silicon nitride probes with silicon tips. This unique combination of materials in a single probe offers many advantages over traditional probes. The cantilever is made of silicon nitride and provides better spring constant control. The probe tip is made of silicon which provides great flexibility for application specific tip geometry. You can choose very sharp tips for high resolution or larger end radius tips for soft materials. Following are just a few of the advantages of the Hydra.
- Customized tip sharpness
- Silicon pad at the end of the cantilever for laser reflection without coating
- Tip can be hydrophobic or hydrophilic for easy functionalization
- Available in V-shape or rectangular shape cantilevers
- Available for contact, intermittent contact and non-contact modes
